The Australian Dental Association recommends regular check-up and cleaning every 6 months to ensure optimal oral health is maintained.

Your dentist will perform a thorough examination during a dental check-up, including:

Oro-facial and clinical examination – checking the health of your teeth and gums, and completing a comprehensive tooth charting
Photographic records of your teeth
Full-definition 3D coloured video of all your teeth, magnifying up to 60x (CEREC Omnicam 2D Camera Video Feature below)
Single panoramic X-ray (OPG)
2 x Bitewing X-rays
Any other relevant tests

Please note that we normally reserve one full hour for all new patients to complete this thorough examination. This will allow your dentist to gain an understanding of your overall oral health along with comprehensive tooth-by-tooth treatment planning. We believe that maintenance is a team effort. Our dentists will show you useful tips for brushing and flossing.
