What was the issue with Ms. N’s tooth?
Ms. N had long been dissatisfied with her smile, especially the trauma-induced darkness of her upper left canine. Beginning with an accident several years ago, the tooth’s dark appearance became increasingly prominent which created an unbalanced smile and significantly affected her self-confidence.

Ms. N’s personalised treatment
- To address the darkened tooth, root canal treatment was performed to resolve any underlying infection.
- Internal bleaching was then undertaken to lighten the tooth from within. A bleaching agent was placed inside the tooth, allowing it to gradually regain a natural, lighter shade while preserving its structural integrity.
- Resin bonding was employed to address the uneven lateral incisors. This minimally invasive technique involved applying tooth-coloured resin to the surfaces of the teeth and carefully sculpting it to enhance their shape and size for a more symmetrical appearance.
